We opened our doors in July 2022 following a huge renovation, restoration and expansion project of an old pub site transforming this space into a venue with delicious food and highly acclaimed interiors.
We’re all about quality – the food, the drink, the design.
The Forge & Fern is on Broad Street, Staple Hill, just a stone’s throw away from Page Park.
We believe in cooking simple, honest food, well. We are champions of local makers, growers, and producers and our menu consists of dishes using local ingredients including herbs from our garden and honey from our bees.
We are offering food for whatever time of day you’re hungry – cakes from local bakery Cakesmiths, artisanal nibbles from Mevalco and breakfast, lunch and dinner plates using meat from Buxton Butchers.
We source great produce locally and responsibly and of the highest standard for you.

Fresh is best and lucky for us that our corner of the West Country offers brilliant, independent, and creative makers, growers, and producers and many of the very best are featured throughout our menus.
One of our many Forges goals was to keep our carbon footprint low, and another was to support our community.
So, take a West Country tour with us around our epic food map.
We want our menus to feed everyone – that’s why we have plenty of gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and children’s options that are full of flair and flavour.
